So yesterdays post was about her going off of CPAP, that lasted less than 7hrs. At around 6pm last night she was put back on CPAP because she was needing more and more oxygen to maintain her O2 saturation levels. So they put her back at 3cm of positive pressure on her CPAP, then this morning we received a call that they were going to put her back up to 4cm of pressure due to a bit more struggling through the night. We were told that it is likely they will not be moving her down for another week or so at this point as to let her build up some reserve in her lungs again.
This was a tough experience as we were very excited for the freedom of the nasal cannula, but we know that we are doing what is best for her. We are just considering yesterday as a nice vacation from her CPAP. It was so special to get to see her face and head all day long, she just seemed more like a real baby to us. We know the day will come soon when she will no longer have any wires or tubes attached and these days will seem so far away, but for now we will just continue to pray for patience.

Hi Heather! You are doing amazing! It is such an encouragement to read your blog and witness your endurance, strength, patience and love as a new mommy! I'm so happy for you :)
I love you, you know that???!!!
I had read yesterday's post this morning, and was so excited. Tonights post is such a reminder of the fight that little miss Ainsley is in. She is definitely winning, and growing so well, but it is still a fight. You both are amazing parents- it is so evident through the pictures, and your perspective in the blog, and just who you are. I am so aware of the two steps forward and one step back in the nicu. I am so thankful that it seems like Ainsley takes more like three or four forward to one back. No matter, I know the days are long when the steps back happen, and you both are in my thoughts and prayers for perseverance tonight. I have been gone quite a bit the past week and a half, but I would love to bring you IKE drinks in the afternoon tomorrow. Text me your order after lunch! Love you
I pray daddy and mommy get a restful nights sleep as Ainsley gets her much needed sleep and growth time also.I am so thankful you have such a great nursing staff working with you.Love ya
We are praying and so excited to see the progress in this journey--love you--Kerrie and Gregg
