Rub-a-dub-dub

Ainsley had a rather busy day.  She had a head ultrasound, a regularly performed procedure usually scheduled about 10 days after birth.  That happened at about 1:00 this afternoon.  Ainsley's nurse had told us earlier that she planned to have us give her a bath after the ultrasound.

It was really neat to help with her first bath.  She had a sponge bath, we didn't "throw her in the tub" (a quote from one of her favorite nurses, Karen) because of her inability to maintain her temperature.  Brandon snapped some pictures during her bath and we will post them below.

Here are some other stats from today:
  • Increased her food again, she is now up to 21mL.  At this rate she should be up to her full feeding of 160mL per kilo in two days.
  • She gained 10grams, about 1/3 of an ounce, and is up to 2lbs 14.8oz.
  • As expected she is still having episodes of forgetting to breathe, while we know this is normal it is still difficult to watch.  These episodes sometimes seem to come in clusters and it can be quite hard on Mommy & Daddy.
