Today is Ainsley is 1 month corrected age, corrected age is based off of original due date which was 9/22. Corrected age is used for measuring her growth and development, since she was born a full 3 months early, her corrected age will be a much more accurate way of gauging these areas.
We had a doctors appointment yesterday for a check up, Ainsley is now up to 10lbs 6oz and is 21.5" long. She is growing so well. She is also beginning to get so much more interactive with us. Smiling frequently, watching our faces and sometimes even mimicing us; her favorite is to mimic me sticking my toungue out.
Mom's milk-free diet has been working and we have now been blood free for several weeks, yeah! One more thing to cross off the worry list. Also, on that note Ainsley is now breast feeding only (no more bottles), something that Heather has worked incredibly hard for.
It has been so amazing to see our little girl progress from the fragile, frail, helpless child who was born on July 2 to the healthy, chubby, happy little girl we have today.
