So Happy Together: Summer Fun Part One

Our trip to Hawaii in May, gave us a taste of summer weather and made us look forward to summer. As often happens in Oregon, summer is late to arrive. So, at the beginning of the summer we enjoyed getting outside for those few sunny days. Here are some of the highlights of our summer.

Playing Outside
Ainsley always enjoys playing outside and this year more fun was added to the mix when Grandma Sherry and Auntie Cassie gave us a fun sandbox/picnic table. They surprised Ainsley by setting it up for her while we were in Hawaii. Ainsley was thrilled. We enjoyed many hours playing and having picnic lunches and dinners at the table.

We also purchased a kiddie pool for Ainsley this year. This worked well because one of her favorite activities is to get in and out of the pool. And she can do this much more easily in the small pool than in our larger one.

Celebrating Grandma Lynn's 90th Birthday
At the end of May we joined the Austin family for a fun-filled birthday celebration at the beach. It was so special to have all of the family come together. Ainsley enjoyed playing with her cousins, several of them she was meeting for the first time.

Celebrating Ainlsey's 2nd Birthday
In July we celebrated Ainsley's birthday in many ways. She loved getting packages from her far away family and friends as well as having a birthday bash at Grandma Sherry's House again. And like last year we had a fantastic time celebrating with friends and family.
