So Happy Together: On The Move

Wiggling. That is what Ainsley has been all about these past few weeks. She hardly wants to be held for long, then it is on to the floor to scoot and roll around. She is not quite crawling yet, but she gets on her hands and knees and then rocks. We know crawling is coming soon. She can also scoot backward, which frustrates her because she is usually trying to go forward to a toy. It is so fun to have her at this new stage.

We have had a busy beginning of May in terms of getting out. Each step has made it a little easier and made us a little bit less anxious. One of our fun outings was to a going away party for one of our favorite nurses from the NICU, Karen. She is moving to California to help start a new NICU at a hospital down there. It was special to go and see her as well as several other NICU staff that were at the party.

Another big outing this month was our trip to Bend. Brandon's cousin Tim was getting married and our friends Elizabeth & JP had just had their new baby Elianna - two great reasons to visit! We rented a house for several nights and we were thrilled to have Great Grandma Lynn, Grandma Sherry, & Auntie Cassie stay with us for one night.

We had fun getting Ainsley all dressed up for the wedding. She was pretty darn cute if we do say so. :-) It was also neat to be with family that day, especially family that hadn't met Ainsley before or hadn't seen her since she was a tiny baby in the NICU.

One day we hiked up Pilot Butte, it was a steep hike and we wished we had stopped to put air in the stroller's tires. Luckily that day was cloudy and cool so we didn't get too overheated on our hike. As for weather it was quite crazy when we were in Bend, it snowed several times while we were there. Of course the day we left was sunny and beautiful. We chose to drive up to Pilot Butte that day for a better view of the mountains and some pictures.
